For Happy Monk Dimsums & Momos
WHAT DO YOU NEED ?
Any ONE of these will do:
LET’S GET STEAMING
Step 1: Fill half the deep pan with water and bring it to a boil. Place your steaming surface on top.
Step 2: Lightly brush the steaming surface with oil. Place the dimsums evenly and cover with a lid.
PRO TIP 1: Use a Banana leaf, or any leafy vegetable available – like cabbage or lettuce as the base. This prevents the dimsums from sticking.
PRO TIP 2: Optional – Brush dimsums lightly with oil. No sticking, easy to lift!
Step 3: Steam for 5 to 8 minutes. Check the packaging for specific timing. Dimsums with cheese usually need less time than chicken ones.
PRO TIP 3: Gently prick one with a toothpick or fork. If it slides in smoothly, and is warm, you’re good to go.
HOW TO SERVE
Serve hot on a plate or cane basket. You can elevate the experience by placing them on a banana leaf. Totally optional, but a nice touch.
Pair with the Chilli Oil included in the pack or any sauce you like.

WHAT DO YOU NEED ?
Any flat non-stick pan
LET’S GET FRYING
Step 1: Add 2 teaspoons of oil to a non-stick pan on medium flame. Once hot, place the frozen momos in the pan and toss them gently for 2 minutes.
Step 2: Push the momos to the centre and pour around 100 to 150 ml of water. Cover with a lid and let it cook for 3 minutes.
Step 3: Open the lid and let the momos cook uncovered for another 2 minutes. Remove when the bottom turns brown and crispy.
PRO TIP: If you like them extra crispy, give the bottom an extra minute without the lid.

LET’S GET FRYING
Step 1: Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan on medium flame.
Step 2: Once the oil is hot, gently slide in the frozen momos. Stir lightly and deep-fry for around 4 minutes.
Step 3: Remove once the momos turn golden brown and crisp.
PRO TIP: Avoid overcrowding the pan. Fry in small batches for even crispness.
